Imagine a parish home where parishioners receive care for spirit, body, and mind. A parish health ministry can be the place to start the process of receiving such care. The parish health ministry committee is led by the parish nurse. It is through the work of this ministry that the framework for developing a productive health ministry for the parish is made possible. The members of the committee must look at all options, including financial and programmatic, necessary to address the health and spiritual needs of all parishioners.
The parish health ministry committee works closely to assess the health needs of the
parishioners. Then the committee begins the process of designing programs that can have the 
greatest potential impact on the needs identified by the parish members.
