Sacrament Preparation for Children and Youth
St. Joseph Old Cathedral is honored to accompany families as they prepare their children for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. These sacred gifts from God bring healing and strength as we walk the lifelong journey of faith.
We joyfully welcome families whose children are already baptized, at least 7 years old, and seeking to receive Jesus through the sacraments. Families who are committed to the preparation process—through formation sessions, prayer, and regular Mass attendance—are invited to register either online or in the parish office during regular business hours.
Registration is now open—sign up today!
A Parent Orientation will be scheduled before classes begin. Attendance by at least one parent will be required for families with children preparing to receive the sacraments.

REGISTER FOR 2025- 2026
First Reconciliation/First Communion Sessions are offered to youth in grades 2 and higher on Sundays from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m.
Confirmation Sessions are offered to youth in grades 6th-12th on Sundays from 2:30 to 3:45 pm.
The registration fee is $150. This fee will cover the purchase of a new Adventure Bible for Confirmation students, materials from Signs of Grace for First Holy Communion, and various activities and retreat fees.
