Safe Environment

All ARCHDIOCESAN/PARISH/SCHOOL CLERGY, EMPLOYEES & ADULT VOLUNTEERS, AS WELL AS CERTAIN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS, who have contact with minors or vulnerable adults, must complete our online Safe & Sacred training, a background check, a reference check, and accept and adhere to the Safe Environment policies.

• Create a user account in the training portal.
• Submit a criminal background check application (background checks are renewed every three years)
• Submit three reference checks to be returned to and approved by the local safe environment facilitator 
• Complete the annual safe environment training in the Safe & Sacred system
• accept and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Communications Policy
