The Church emphasizes the liturgy as the central and indispensable element in the life of the Church and the worship of God, however she also recognizes "The spiritual life...is not limited solely to the participation in the liturgy. ... Popular devotions of the Christian people are to be highly commended, provided they accord with the laws and norms of the Church, above all when they are ordered by the Apostolic See." (Sacrosanctum Concilium)
We here at St. Josephs seek to provide the lay faithful with ample opportunity to worship God by regularly scheduling devotions in the church.
Currently these devotions include:
A Weekly 24 hour devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.
- The Blessed Sacrament is exposed every Thursday from 12 noon to Friday 12 noon.
- Please Contact Kathy Lees (405-769-8853) for more information about becoming responsible for one of the hours.
A Monthly Holy Hour to Divine Mercy
- Every 4th Thursday of the month at 5:15 PM
We are also working towards implementing more devotions in the near future. Please check back regularly for new updates.
